About Student Accommodation in Coventry

City centre

The city centre is a great choice of location for student housing, just a short walk to Coventry University and around the corner from shops and eateries the city has to offer. Although located around 3 miles from the Warwick campus, there are plenty transport links, so the area is chosen by students from both universities.


Popular with students as it has so many different properties on offer, as well as being very close to Coventry University. Hillfields has its own shopping centre, incorporating a number of ethnic food shops and convenience stores, with something to suit all tastes.

Spon End

Spon End is situated on the edge of the city centre, surrounding the famous ring road. It is located just a 10 minute walk from Coventry University, with a number of small convenience stores in the area. Spon End fosters a friendly, community feel as there are less students here than in other areas of the city.

Lower Coundon

Lower Coundon is very popular with students, situated a reasonable walk away from Coventry University, just outside of the city centre. The area hosts a selection shops and takeaways, as well as bring located on a main bus route into Coventry with number of buses available.


Stoke is one of the most popular student letting areas with Coventry University students. It is conveniently located on the main bus routes to the University Hospital, with many transport links available. Stoke also has a shopping centre which hosts a range of high street stores, reducing the need for visits into town.


Earlsdon is a very popular housing destination with both Coventry and Warwick Students. It has a 'village' feel, contrasted with easy access to the city centre. The area offers many pubs and restaurants, as well as a number of great shops, including alternative stores and delis.


Chapelfields is enjoyed by students from both Warwick and Coventry Universities. Although limited shopping facilities, there is a number of large supermarkets in local area. Chapelfields has great transport links, with a choice of around 8 buses into the city centre. If you have a car this would be a brilliant area as there are plenty of parking facilities.

Tile Hill

Popular with Warwick University students, the area offers lots of different student housing, at affordable prices. Tile Hill is a friendly, residential suburb in the west of Coventry, with access to local amenities, including shops, takeaways and a train station.
