About Student Accommodation in Leicester

Clarendon Park

Clarendon Park is a friendly suburb with a great student atmosphere. Located less than a 20 minute walk from Leicester University it has become a much sought after area for finding student accommodation. Student residence in this area is high and shops on the nearby Queens Park Road reflect this. Queens Park Road is the major shopping area providing all essential student shops, with a Sainsburys, Costa coffee, banks and upmarket retailers. This is also the place to find restaurants and pubs. Clarendon Park is located a short walk to Victoria Park which provides students with great leisure facilities with its 8 football pitches, 2 rugby pitches, 4 hard surface tennis courts, basketball courts and a skateboard park. This student area of residence is perfect for those that love student life.

Highfields

Highfields is located in the inner city area of Leicester. It is perfect for those students looking for student housing close to the city centre as it is only a 5 minute walk from the Highcross shopping centre. Even closer walk is the train station. Additionally, a large concentration of restaurants can be found on Highfields Street. Situated close to London Road and Evington Road, providing all students with the necessary amenities.

Evington

This is second most popular area for student rentals from those studying at Leicester University. Its close proximity to London Road makes travelling to both the main city centre and the University quick and efficient. It is generally considered that those choosing student accommodation in this area get more for their money as houses here are often cheaper and larger than those in Clarendon Park. For students looking for all amenities on their door step, Evington Road is perfect as it is well equipped with supermarkets, restaurants and banks. Student accommodation here is also close to the popular student pubs Varsity and The Loaded Dog.

Narborough Road

This is a popular and vibrant student community which is ideal for those studying at De Montfort University. With its convenient bus routes, travelling around Leicester could not be easier. Narborough Road is situated within walking distance from De Montfort University as well as the main town centre. This area is not a conventional shopping street but it is a great place to find ethnic foods. It also has a wide range of sweet shops, restaurants and pubs. All amenities students could ever need can be found locally so it is no surprise that the majority of second and final year students will be found living here.

West End (Westcotes)

The West End is a small student community located just to the west of the main town centre. It is a short 5 minute walk to De Montfort University and for this reason it is popular location for students to find their ideal student housing. This area is particularly well known for its many shops, bars and restaurants. It provides a great student night life and is short distance to the main clubs and bars located in Leicester city centre. The majority of residences available within this area are attractive Victorian terrace properties.
